Along with an intense and detail oriented adult program, we offer a wonderful curriculum for our young children, where they learn the same no fuss, no muss fighting system as our adults, but in a more fun environment. And when I say fun, I mean fun! Our kids learn how to deal with bullying situations and beyond by first learning how to avoid a potentially dangerous situation, and if need be, to fight back as hard as they can. After all, no one is allowed to lay their hands on them. They learn these skills, as well as how to treat others the way they would like to be treated, doing the things they are expected to do and being responsible for their own actions…all while smiling, laughing, and having the time of their lives. Our kids learn when it is appropriate to play and laugh, and when it is time to be serious.
Cutting Edge Kempo Karate offers camps for the kids when they are out of school during the year, as well as our summer camp program. Shihan Nick and his staff work hand in hand with many children with learning disabilities to increase hand eye co-ordination, as well as social and proprioceptive skills, while learning the same techniques as their classmates.
