A long time student of the Martial Arts, Shihan Nick received his 5th Degree Black Belt in Kempo from Grandmaster Rich Fescina 9th Dan, and his 4th Degree in Kajukenbo from Senior Grandmaster Rick Kingi 9th Dan. Shihan Nick specializes in training today’s youth to recognize dangerous environments and avoid hostile situations, yet as a last resort, his younger students fight back as fiercely as his adults if pressed.
Among his student base are many law enforcement personnel and several students with disabilities. Using the Art of Kempo, Shihan Nick teaches skills that directly apply to each individual, proving that Kempo can be effectively applied by anyone. Shihan Nick works hand in hand with many children with learning disabilities to increase hand eye co-ordination, as well as social and proprioceptive skills, while they learn the same techniques as their classmates. Shihan Nick personally works with many students on the Autism spectrum both in mainstream and in private, one on one lessons tailored towards each individual’s needs.
