Come march with us in the Holbrook Memorial Day Parade and get a chance to win FREE STUFF!

Every year we come out to honor our fallen soldiers and show our school spirit by marching in the Holbrook parade. And now we start a new tradition, with our one time a year, limited edition school T-shirts coming out at the same time of the year. Everyone who comes out to march with us gets a chance to win a 2017 Cutting Edge Kempo limited edition school T-shirt! This years design promises to be even hotter than last years so don’t miss out, as I only have one run of these shirts printed and then they are gone for good!

What will this years design be?

We will be meeting in front of the Dojo at 10:00 am on Monday May 29th, where we will walk down the road to the Holbrook Plaza around 10:30 am. From there the parade should commence approximately 11:00 am. We will march south along Main Street to the corner of Furrows Road, west on Furrows Road to Grundy Avenue, and then south on Grundy Avenue to the Holbrook Vietnam Monument on the corner of Grundy and Terry Road where there will be a brief remembrance ceremony.  The parade of march is approximately 1.15 miles and takes approximately 25-30 minutes.  The ceremony begins at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Wear your Cutting Edge Kempo T-Shirts to show everyone your school spirit!

We invite all moms, dads, brothers, sisters, cousins of our extended Cutting Edge Kempo Karate family to come and join in the festivities, and remember everyone who marches gets a chance at a new limited edition T-shirt!

*** Don’t forget, we will be closed for the Memorial Day weekend. There will be NO CLASSES on Saturday May 27th, Sunday May 28th, or Monday May 29th. We re-open for classes on the 30th. ***

Need one more class to get yourself ready for the tournament on Sunday?

This Saturday we will hold two extra classes for all those who need a little “brushing up”.

Saturday April 29th from 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm we we will be practicing forms and self defense (please bring your uke) and from 7:15 pm to 8:00 pm we will spar using tournament rules. There is no charge for this class, lets get ready to represent and…

…get back on the mat.

Spring has sprung at Cutting Edge Kempo Karate!

Starting today you are welcome to wear any of our SCHOOL T-SHIRT designs in lieu of your Gi top! Last years limited edition design? Absolutely! Standard school T design? Of course! New bedazzled design? No problem! Can I still wear my Gi top all the time like Shihan? Without a doubt!

Please be aware that the rule is school t-shirts only, if you show up to class in a regular t-shirt, and you do not have a Gi top to wear, you will be asked to come to class another day.

P.S.- A little bird told me there is an all new limited edition design on the way… 😉

Tuesday March 14, 2017. Check back for updates to see if the roads have been made safe by Wednesday evening… Please stay inside and don’t go out on to the roads unless you absolutely have to.

I wanted to take the time to say thank you for the outpouring of cards, gifts and well wishes! You all are far too generous. I also wanted to thank those of you that made it to our Holiday party this year, the kids had a blast, as always! It is always so wonderful to see the kids running and laughing and enjoying time together. Thank you to all my awesome instructors and assistants for all that you do, both on the mat and off! It is an incredibly proud part of my life to watch you all learn and grow.

It was great having Grandmaster Rich Fescina back in the Dojo again, I am glad he could find the time to drop in and visit. (Rumor has it he will be coming in to teach a class or two in the future!)

2016 has been a good year, and I feel blessed that you all are a part of our Kempo family. I wish everyone the happiest holiday season, and all the best for 2017! I can’t wait to see you all on the mat next week!

New Class Schedule for Adults Starting September 1!

We are so very happy that our already sizeable adult student population has grown so much! In order to provide for you the best training we have split the adult class Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings into beginner only and intermediate / advanced classes.

We are still offering you the same great deal, six days a week for all age groups and we even alternated the later night between groups to keep it fair for everyone!

The kids schedule remains the same, only adults have changed on three days of the week.

I will update the schedule page in the upcoming weeks, but wanted to offer an advanced copy for those who like to plan ahead.

We will be marching in the annual Holbrook Memorial Day Parade again this year, and we want you all to join us and show your School Spirit!

We will meet at the Dojo on Monday May 30th at 10:00 am, make sure you wear all your Cutting Edge Kempo Karate apparel proudly!!!

Memorial Day ParadeAfter assembling at the Dojo at 10:00 am, we take the time to snap a few photos and then walk down the street to the Holbrook plaza where the parade will begin around 10:30. We will march south down Main Street to Furrows Road West to Grundy Avenue South up to the Vietnam Memorial on the corner of Grundy and Terry Roads.The entire march is around 1.15 Miles and should take us about a half an hour to complete.

I would like to see students, moms and dads alike show their pride not only in school but in country as we march through the streets of our community. Lets all have some fun  family time together!

Also,don’t forget we will be closed for the Memorial Day weekend from Saturday the 28th through Monday the 30th and re-open for our regularly scheduled classes on the 31st!
