Best Local Martial Arts

Best Martial Arts, period.

That’s why we’ve been serving the community for so long. That’s why we’ll be here for so much longer. There is a reason why people drive past a hundred other Karate schools to take classes with us, if you haven’t yet, come in and find out for yourself. Although all training is good training (as long as you are actually getting what you need out of your lessons), if you want to learn how to survive if you need to, whether you are a child or adult we will see you here on the mat.

Take the first step today, come in and try a free class. See why law enforcement, military, personal bodyguards, security and peace officers as well as parents of school children seek us out, and stay. No contracts necessary.

Now get back on the mat…

It’s that time of year…a parade and a contest.

Come march with us in the Holbrook Memorial Day Parade and get a chance to win FREE STUFF!

Every year we come out to honor our fallen soldiers and show our school spirit by marching in the Holbrook parade. And now we start a new tradition, with our one time a year, limited edition school T-shirts coming out at the same time of the year. Everyone who comes out to march with us gets a chance to win a 2017 Cutting Edge Kempo limited edition school T-shirt! This years design promises to be even hotter than last years so don’t miss out, as I only have one run of these shirts printed and then they are gone for good!

What will this years design be?

We will be meeting in front of the Dojo at 10:00 am on Monday May 29th, where we will walk down the road to the Holbrook Plaza around 10:30 am. From there the parade should commence approximately 11:00 am. We will march south along Main Street to the corner of Furrows Road, west on Furrows Road to Grundy Avenue, and then south on Grundy Avenue to the Holbrook Vietnam Monument on the corner of Grundy and Terry Road where there will be a brief remembrance ceremony.  The parade of march is approximately 1.15 miles and takes approximately 25-30 minutes.  The ceremony begins at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Wear your Cutting Edge Kempo T-Shirts to show everyone your school spirit!

We invite all moms, dads, brothers, sisters, cousins of our extended Cutting Edge Kempo Karate family to come and join in the festivities, and remember everyone who marches gets a chance at a new limited edition T-shirt!

See you at the parade!

*** Don’t forget, we will be closed for the Memorial Day weekend. There will be NO CLASSES on Saturday May 27th, Sunday May 28th, or Monday May 29th. We re-open for classes on the 30th. ***

We are proud to announce our College Scholarship Award!

We are so very happy to announce that we have rolled out our College scholarship program. This is something I myself have wanted to do for our students for such a long time now, and I am proud to be able to offer any help I can to our dedicated students as they embark on a new leg of their journey in life. Our Martial Arts training is so much more than punching and kicking, and those of you who have been part of the Kempo family for some time now understand that we work hand in hand with all our family members in any capacity to offer guidance in the Martial Arts, school work, peer interaction, bully prevention, home life and anywhere else the individual needs help or advice or even just a neutral listening ear to bounce thoughts and feelings off of, we are always here. It seems appropriate that we try to help those that have dedicated many years of their life to the Martial Arts as they move forward, in the hopes that what we have offered will assist them along the way. The respect of treating each other the way we wish to be treated, the discipline of doing the things we have to do and not giving in to the enormous amounts of peer pressure we are surrounded by and the self control to think before we speak and not to react emotionally even in the heat of the moment, as well as knowing no one is allowed to touch you without your express permission and the ability to neutralize anyone who breaks that rule are the qualities that make a Martial Artist.

What we do is not a sport. What we do is not an activity. What we do is who we are.

Now when you are preparing for college, we want to be there for you as well so be sure to check out the Cutting Edge Kempo Karate College Scholarship page by clicking here and get all the details you need to apply today.

Also, since we are rolling out our new scholarship program late in the year, we will be extending our application deadline date this year only to May 31st 2016.

Thank you all for your dedication and hard work in the Martial Arts and beyond!
